Oh. I that is what survival is. I heard that buzzword before in gaming videos. This video is very helpful in explaining what that is. I am a Legend of Zelda fan. It is in the action adventure genre. Breath of the Wild is my favorite game in the series. I have watch plenty of UA-cam videos about this game. This game has been described as having survival. I wondered about that. When I watch this video on survival, it finally click. Breath of the Wild is all over the place. It has a lot of features and aspects. One aspect is survival. I can pick out which parts fit in survival. That is the extensive item farming in the wilderness. Plants and mushrooms are gathered for food. Animals are hunted for food. Trees can be chopped down for wood. Wood is used to build a fire. That provides a spot to rest and pass time. Ore is mined for minerals. Minerals are valuble and so can be sold to venders for a lot of money. Breath of the Wild has some building. The player can buy a house in Hateno Town. They can fix up the yard and the interior. The player can also build Tarrey Town in the Akaska region. I don't know if this counts as survival, but there are harsh weather effects that the player has to deal with. Some places are too cold, with are snowy places. Some are too hot, like volcanos and deserts. This is overcome by eating special food or wearing special armor. Rain is the most notorious. It makes surfaces too slippery to climb on very well. Some rains are even more intense with thunderstorms. One should not have any metal weopons or shields. If they do, they are going to get struck with lightning. Dealing with harsh weather seems like what someone would do in the wilderness. I am not sure if it is part of a survival game genre though. I do enjoy the survival aspect. That may be worth checking out. I dabbled with Minecraft a little bit, and I still have the game. Maybe I ought to get in more. The biggest thing with Breath of the Wild survival is food. I have a ton on fun with that. It is fun to gather and hunt for food in the wild. It is fun to cook the gathered ingredients into meals. There is no hunger meter or anything like that. It is just that combat is another aspect of the game. With combat there is health. In Zelda games, health is represented by hearts. In Breath of the Wild, the player is going to inevitably loose health due to fighting all the time. The main way of recovering that is to eat food. There are some places like hotels and shrines that heal the player. However that is way too inconvenient. Maybe health replaces hunger. That does help unify the survival and combat aspects. I just realized something. Breath of the Wild is different from other games I have played in that healing items are mandatory. They are not optional. Pokemon has easy healing in Pokemon Centers. I only buy and use healing items when fighting the Elite Four at the end of the game. World of Warcraft has easy health that is restored gradually. Some classes have access to a healing role. So they can use spells to heal themselves. I recently realised something. Even non-healer classes get some class ability to provide a bit of healing. Rogues get Recuperate. Warriors get Victory Rush. Mages can conjure thier own food for healing. Warlocks have Health Drain. Hunters have Mend Pet. I don't use healing items in World of Warcraft. Tradingional Zelda games had healing hearts obtained directly. They can be found in the environment and found in defeated enemies. Breath of the Wild has no easy healing like that. Health is mainly obtained by food. Food can be gathered in the environment without fighting. Then they can be cooked into meals. With extra good cooking skills, food can even have a variety of buffs. Some food has bonuses in offence or defense. Some food has resistences to harsh weather conditions. There is more. It is best to stock up on meals first. Then one can go do fighting. Breath of the Wild is very challenging but also very fun. Part of the challenge is mandatory healing items in the form of food. This is also a ton of fun. I become a lot more engaged with the item system more than other games. It is cool to have a whole game genre focused on this survival aspect. That can definitely be worth checking out. It is cool how genres can go together in game design.

Your traps are so big, even taking into account this is 3 years old, when rag came out I tames first rex in a 2x6 raft trap boat 2x6 was the ramp in and 2x6 was a mini base set up in a 5x4 layout. But this was my legacy trap boat so it’s tried and true.. Water needs more time so many long term players are still deep virgins never exploring the deep but you also need to mention how under utilised the deep is.. it’s almost boring with so few dinos in it but then you get attacked in swarms

Yeah well the one time I didn't do that and I was you know hatch and dynamics add hashman raising them up and I had a level 65 T-Rex and something was attacking and of course that's not nothing about it so I forgot that my base is on an island and there's megalodons in the water and five of them decided to run into the water and died

No after the first shot and it survived you should have just tamed it

I don’t murder the creatures, I just tame them. You can do this pretty early on too. Build a basic trap near your base early game, so then if something spawns or come near you, you can trap it then either kill it, or knock it to see if you can tame it.

I find that the yuty looks like a furry giga or a deformed winter DODOREX And i just use a longneck rifle with shocking tranqdarts and i just bring a longneck rifle and the shocking tranqdarts and a otter all i need tbh and a pumped action shotgun thats the name right? bc there are lots of thing's in the winter biome that drop raw prime meat that are a great taming food definitly bc its easy to get
